Why Virtue Mirage

Roughly the price of the parts. Plus the seven things that aren't for sale anywhere.

We priced the do-it-yourself version: what a fashion brand would pay to assemble our 17 tools from separate vendors. The honest answer — about the same money at every brand size, more at Plus scale, and seven of our tools you can't buy at any price. The arithmetic, the caveats and the dated sources are all on this page.

+ The stack vs the platform, by brand size
Small brand
DIY stack — entry tiers
~US$180–250/mo
Weakest version of each buyable category: try-on capped around 100 uses a month, static size charts, text-only chat, AI-model imagery.
Virtue Mirage Starter
US$229/mo
All 17 tools, one install, one login, one shopper identity. 7-day free trial.
Same money. The stack buys weak versions of about ten tools; the platform is all seventeen — including the seven that aren't for sale.
Growth brand
DIY stack — mid tiers
~US$650/mo
Mid tiers of try-on, recommendations, chat, search and imagery — six or seven vendors, six or seven dashboards.
Virtue Mirage Growth
US$629/mo
Same 17 tools, higher render allowance.
Same money. Still minus the network, the whole-store transformation, and a shopper the tools share.
Plus scale
DIY stack — serious tiers
~US$2,600–2,850+/mo
Enterprise fit intelligence (quote-based, commonly four figures), premium recommendations, AI search, chat and imagery at their real tiers.
Virtue Mirage Studio / Scale
US$999 / US$2,299/mo
Same 17 tools, Plus-scale render allowances.
The stack costs 20–65% more — and it still has no network, no whole-store transformation, and seven data silos where the customer is a stranger to each.

All comparison figures are vendor list prices in USD, September 2026 — category ranges, sources dated in the footnote below. Virtue Mirage bills through the Shopify App Store in USD; brands billed directly in Australia are on the AUD rate card from A$299/mo +GST. Not "the same product for less" — the same money for a stack of parts, or the whole platform under one app, knowing the same customer.

+ The parts list — all 17 tools, priced where a price exists

Every tool in Virtue Mirage, next to the standalone category a brand would buy to approximate it, with that category's list-price range. The gold rows are the seven we could not find for sale anywhere, at any price, as of September 2026. Category names only here — vendors are named in the dated sources footnote.

+ The part price can't buy

Seven vendors means seven data silos — and a shopper who is a stranger to each of them.

The stack's real cost isn't the invoices. It's that the try-on app, the sizing tool, the stylist bot, the search and the wishlist each meet your customer for the first time, every time. In Virtue Mirage they all share one Twin: the search knows the body, the stylist knows the saved looks, the recommendations render on the person they're for, and the network brings the same identity to the next brand. You don't just avoid the spreadsheet of subscriptions — the tools finally know the same customer.

The honest caveats

  • It isn't apples-to-apples. Standalone try-on apps meter per product image, on a generic body. Virtue Mirage renders per shopper Twin, across the whole store, metered in tokens — heavy-render brands buy top-up packs on top of their plan. Both models have a meter; they just sit in different places.
  • Entry tiers cap hard. The low prices in the ranges above typically cap usage — some around 100 try-ons a month. Compare the tier you'd actually run, not the teaser.
  • Enterprise vendors don't publish prices. Serious fit intelligence and personalisation are quote-based — commonly four figures a month. We won't invent a number for them, so the Plus-scale stack figure is a floor, not a ceiling.
  • A single budget try-on app costs less than we do. If one widget on one product page is all you need, buy that — it's a different product, not a smaller version of this one.
  • Prices are a September-2026 snapshot. List prices checked 19 September 2026; we re-verify quarterly. Sources, with vendor names, are in the footnote.
+ Questions we get on this

What would it cost to assemble Virtue Mirage's tools from separate apps?

Using September-2026 list prices: a small brand buying entry tiers of the buyable categories lands around US$180–250 a month, a growth brand on mid tiers around US$650, and a Plus-scale brand running serious tiers around US$2,600–2,850+ — before onboarding each vendor separately. Virtue Mirage is US$229 / US$629 / US$999 / US$2,299 a month (Starter to Scale) with all 17 tools on every plan, so the stack costs about the same at small and growth sizes and 20–65% more at Plus scale.

Which Virtue Mirage tools can't be bought separately?

Seven, as far as our September-2026 market research could find: whole-store transformation (every product image becomes the shopper), Mirror Mode browsing, the cross-brand network, everything-travels (sizes, preferences and looks moving store to store under the shopper's control), automatic new-arrivals pre-rendering, the customer's own Twin dashboard, and identity self-QA with privacy-by-design. The nearest precedent to the network is an enterprise fit-data service — retailer-side data, invisible to the shopper, not a portable visual identity.

Is the comparison apples-to-apples?

Not perfectly, and we say so on the page: standalone try-on apps meter per product image on a generic body, while Virtue Mirage renders per shopper Twin across the whole store, metered in tokens (heavy-render brands buy top-up packs). Their entry tiers also cap usage hard — some at around 100 try-ons a month. Enterprise fit and personalisation vendors don't publish prices, so we describe them as quote-based, commonly four figures a month, rather than inventing a number.

Are these prices current?

They are vendor list prices checked on 19 September 2026, published as category ranges with the sources named and dated in the footnote. Prices change; we re-verify the comparison quarterly and this page states its snapshot date.
